Changes to the Vehicle Towing and Booting Law
The bill also changes the Contents of Notice (Section 2308.455(5)). A VSF is not required to include the name, address, and telephone number of every justice court in the county from which the vehicle was towed or booted. This information must be included in the Notice to Vehicle Owner or Operator and to the owner upon release of the vehicle.
The Notice to Vehicle Owner or Operator may list all the justice courts in the county OR provide the internet website maintained by the Office of Court Administration of the Texas Judicial System. The internet address for a list of courts is: http://card.txcourts.gov/DirectorySearch.aspx
The ammendments to Chapter 2308 became effective June 14, 2013.

This change must be made to stay in compliance with state laws and regulations. The old website will still be up for a short time period, but it is best to get this changed as soon as possible.
***IMPORTANT: Chapter 85.1003, of the Vehicle Storage Facility rules, has been changed to allow the posting of fees and other required information to now be posted on a single sheet of paper or poster. The rule will take effect on August 15th, 2013. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THIS ON YOUR SIGNAGE AT THE PAYMENT WINDOW AT THIS TIME. More details or to come detailing how this change will give you more flexibility on posting at the payment area. For now, please start updating your VSF Receipts and/or Tow Tickets to reflect this change above.
